Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Shree Samsthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Mutt in Goa on November 28 to unveil a 77-foot bronze statue of Lord Ram — one of the tallest in the country. The event marks the Mutt’s 550th anniversary, a major milestone for this historic Guru Peetha of the Gaud Saraswat Brahmin community. The institution, located in Canacona, is currently led by Shrimad Vidyadheesh Teertha Shreepad Wader Swamiji, the 24th Mathadheesha.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant confirmed the programme after a detailed planning meeting. The ceremony is expected to draw major religious and cultural attention across the region.
